Alexandra Maria Lara has been an Romanian/German film and television actress for a long time. Alexandra is well-known for her roles in Rush, Downfall Youth Without Youth Control. She was the sole child of Romanian actor Valentin Platareu, Alexandra started her professional career in the show business at an early age. By the time she turned 16years old, Alexandra was able to land prominent roles in a variety of shows on television. Her critically acclaimed role in the made-for-television film Der Tunnel paved way for many other noteworthy roles, including the role of Secretary to Adolf Hitler Traudl Junge in the commercially and critically profitable Oscar nominated war-time drama film Downfall. The Reader is another Oscar nominated film that features this stunning actress. Alexandra's career has seen her be involved in a variety of significant national and international productions. These projects included British biographical film Control Greek dramatic film The Dust of Time French historical Miniseries Napoleon and many more. Additionally, she was a member of both the Cannes Film Festival jury and Transylvania International Film Festival.
